Emese Visits from Manchester

Emese flew in on Friday from Manchester, England. We were happy to have her here today with us. She had to return to England this afternoon to continue her training for her new job. At the end of June she will return to Budapest to start work.

Visit from Mike Thomley

Mike Thomley, who lived in Budapest for two years before his move to Maryland, is here for a 10 day visit. We've been enjoying spending time with him again. He moved to the States 15 months ago. This morning he taught a class and preached. Everyone is happy to get to see him again. In the afternoon Mike, Peter and Bill went to Bohonye to visit with Josef and his mother Maria. Afterwards, Mike took a train to Prague and will return to Budapest on Wednesday.

Supper with Edit and Viktor

On Saturday June 13, we went to Edit and Viktor's new home in Erd with Mike Thomley. It is a 25 minute train ride to the town their home is in. Viktor picked us up at the train station to take us to their home. They moved in last August. Viktor grilled a lot of meats for us and they had prepared some nice salads as well. We had a pleasant meal and visit on their large patio. Their first child is due in August.

Little Josef

On Sunday evening we met with the saints in Brno for worship. Near the end of the services little Josef, 5 year old son of Josef and Petra, had a seizure of some sort. It was necessary to call an ambulance. Our last report about him was that he is in stable condition. Please keep him in your prayers.

Brno Study

On Saturday May 6 we met with christians from Slovakia and the Czech Republic for the Bible study in Brno that is held every other month. Ed Brand led the study on the topic of "Spiritual Warfare." Ed and his wife Pat are in Cesky Budejovice for a couple of weeks to help the bretheren there. Jindra and Misa Kubicek, from Cesky Budejovice, had their third child at the end of April, a healthy boy named Jindra. The father Jindra and his two girls were there at the study. Two other families, one in Brno and one near Bratislava, are expecting soon. It is nice to see these families growing!

Baptism

We are very happy that Laci, Janos and Irin's son, was baptized April 16th. He started attending worship services and the Wednesday evening Bible studies regularly in early December. This is a great encouragement to the church and to his parents.
