Meal with Vanda

This past Sunday, our family went and ate with Vanda and Edit. We had a nice time visiting with them. It was Vanda's last Sunday in Budapest for a few weeks. She will return to make further preparations for her wedding ceremony in April.

Dinyu's Trial Postponed

We have learned that Dinyu's trial has been delayed until April. We do not know the reason the trial was postponed, however it is at least the second time it has rescheduled.

Peter and George Hancik

We all enjoyed having Peter and George Hancik from Brno, Czech Republic visit us this weekend. We've known them for about seven years. They both have lived in the States and worshiped with congregations in Massachusetts, Florida, and Colorado. Peter spent an extra year in the US working as an au pair and recently returned from three months in Japan. George has been married for a few years and has a one year old son.

After worship services this morning we went for lunch with the Hanciks and Peter Nagy. The three of them enjoyed comparing words in the different languages they know. After lunch George and Peter had to catch a train back to Brno. Both are planning to moved to to Ireland in March for 6-10 months.

Monika

We were happy to have Monika back this Sunday. It has been several weeks since she had been there. Emese continues to study with her regularly.

Dinyu's Trial

Dinyu's trial began today. The suit is a malicious attack by a disgruntled former tenant who had previously tried to extort money from him. While confident he will be exonerated, it is still an extremely stressful and expensive experience for him.

Keith and Kathy Barclay Visit Us

Keith and Kathy Barclay came down for a visit to Budapest. They went to the Wednesday evening Bible study with us. They are staying in Bratislava working with the Newmans until the end of February. We enjoyed having some time to visit with them again (they lived in Bratislava when we lived in Brno).
